Does my child need speech therapy?

Every child develops communication skills at their own pace, and milestones can vary widely by age. If you’ve noticed your child struggling to express themselves, follow directions, or pronounce certain sounds, it may be helpful to explore whether a speech evaluation is appropriate.

Because every age has different milestones to consider, the best first step is to schedule a free consultation. During this conversation, we’ll discuss your child’s development, answer your questions, and help determine whether a formal speech and language evaluation is recommended.

What does an evaluation entail?

We start by getting to know your child through play, conversation, and fun activities!

We’ll chat with parents, observe how your child communicates, and use age-appropriate tools to understand their strengths and needs.

Evaluations typically take 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.

Every session is relaxed, positive, and focused on helping your child shine!

How long are speech therapy sessions?

Session length varies depending on your child’s age, attention, and individual goals. Most sessions are 30 or 45 minutes. Your therapist will help determine the ideal session length during the initial evaluation to ensure your child gets the most out of each visit — with plenty of time for engaging practice, parent feedback, and play-based learning.

Why choose private pay?

Private pay therapy gives families complete control over their child’s care. Without the restrictions of insurance, sessions can be fully individualized, consistent, and aligned with your child’s goals — not insurance requirements. You’ll have direct access to your therapist, flexible scheduling, and clear communication every step of the way. Most importantly, your child receives the quality, continuity, and attention they deserve to make lasting progress.

Can I submit a superbill through my insurance for reimbursement?

Yes! While our practice is private pay, we’re happy to provide a superbill — an itemized receipt that includes all the information your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim. You can submit this superbill directly to your insurance provider to see if you qualify for partial or full reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance company beforehand to ask about your out-of-network speech therapy benefits, deductible, and any documentation requirements.

We’re always glad to guide you through the process and help you make the most informed choice for your family.
